Avon are launching a new range of products next month and I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on them early and give you all some feedback.
The new collection is full of the new True Colour Technology that Avon have been researching for several years and this is good news for us beauty addicts. Avon have been striving to create products that are the same colour on the skin as they are in the packaging and they’ve done a good job too!
The R&D (Research and Development) team identified that in order to achieve their goal they needed to stop using an opaque base for their products and opt for a translucent one. An opaque base can dull the colour pigments of a product, no matter how vivid they are, but a translucent base doesn’t obscure them.
So, let’s have a look at what’s in store!
Ultra Colour Lipstick £7.50
These lipsticks are full of conditioning elements; shea butter, Vit E, Artic Berry and Omega-3. The True Colour Technology means the colour stays true and renews itself. I found that they apply well and last quite well too, and the shades really do come out true to their looks. There are 30 shades of Ultra Colour Lipstick to choose from.
Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss £6.50
I really like the feel of these on my lips, they’re not sticky at all but feel soft and moisturising. Each pigment particle is wrapped in shea butter as with the lipsticks and the colour shines through really well. There are 18 shades of lip gloss as well as clear.
Ultra Colour Lip Crayon £7.50
Lip Crayons are something I’m starting to really love! The colour appears more like a lipstick but they are certainly easier and neater to put on, often without the need of a lip liner. These are great to keep in a handbag and quickly sweep on and I recommend giving them a go if you haven’t already! There are 6 shades of Lip Crayon available.
Glimmerstick Lip Liner £6
To go alongside the lipsticks, crayons and glosses Avon are also releasing a range of lip liners. These last a long time and match into the range of other products very well. Available in six different shades, these lip liners are waterproof and great for stopping feathering.
True Colour Eye Shadows
Alongside the range of lip products Avon are also bringing out a collection of new eyeshadows with the same new translucent base technology and vivid colour. Each shadow is soft and easy to apply and blend with many having a really nice shimmer finish.
True Colour Eyeshadow Duos £6
There are six different shades available in the the duo range, each with two complementary shades.
True Colour Eyeshadow Quads £9
These have four complementary shades each designed to sit on a different section of the eye. On the back of the packaging there’s a guide to show which area each colour is to be applied to. There are nine shades available.
True Colour 8-in-1 Eye Shadow Palette £12
There are two different shades available in these palettes, The Nudes and The Metallics. They are a great range of shades all together in one handy palette. I’d like to compare this one to the popular ‘naked’ palettes that are on the market.
