Candle of the Week: 1769 AD by Alexander Designs

So sorry that I’ve missed a couple of weeks with this feature, I’ve had the most awful migraines and can’t sniff scented candles when I’m like that. I’m back now though, so let’s see what we have in store this week; the 1769 AD by Alexander Designs.

The main thing about a scented candle is, of course, the scent and this candle has it in abundance. Ylang ylang and rose and the main tones to the scent, but these are backed up with under-currents of tuberose and amber. Overall, the candle makes the room feel warm and sensual and would be a great scent for anyone who isn’t too keen on anything overly floral or sweet.

The candle comes in a 9cm tall glass with a metal lid that can double as a coaster. All of this is wrapped up in a box tied with a ribbon. The logo on the candle and the box has a really pretty vintage theme too.

This candle is made in Scotland from hand poured soya wax that burns cleanly for around 50 hours. It is also suitable for Vegans as it is made from 100% plant materials and is free from animal testing. The soya beans that have been used in the candle are from an annually-renewable source and the wax is non-toxic, bio-degradable and environmentally friendly.

The 1769 AD candle by Alexander Designs (£29.50) is just one of the amazing products that you can find on MakeTheMostOf.co.uk; a site that is crammed full of amazing things from many different and talented people.
