glō essentials adds to its hair care range with the launch of eight new products ranging from volumising shampoos and conditioners to treatments and smoothing oils. Designed to enhance and maintain healthy hair, new products include Intense Replenish Hydro-Nourish Shampoo (£15) containing quartz and millet to repair and strengthen while rhodiola rosea provides antioxidant protection; Infinite Shine Smoothing Oil (£20.95) containing argan and coconut oils to reduce dryness, frizz and flyaways; Intense Replenish Hydro-Nourish Conditioner (£17.95) to nourish, detangle and moisturise over-processed, damaged and excessively dry hair; Moisture Enhance Hydrating Conditioner (£14.95) containing black cumin seed and soy amino acids to detangle and hydrate normal to dry hair; Reparative Keratin Leave-In Treatment (£22.95) a multi-functional conditioning treatment which detangles, de-frizzes and adds shine; Moisture Enhance Hydrating Shampoo (£14.95) formulated with soy, black cumin and acai essential oil to revitalise normal to dry hair; Volume Infusion Lift Enhancing Shampoo (£14.95) containing bombyx silk and silica to cleanse; Volume Infusion Lift Enhancing Conditioner (£15) to moisturise and detangle. The glo essentials collection is also paraben-free and sulfate-free. The range is free from parabens, sulfates and provide protection against heat, UV rays and harsh environmental factors.

Beauty brand L’Occitane has announced the launch of a limited edition line in June. L’Occitane au Brésil offers three collections, each with their own signature scents and designs. The Vitória Régia Day Flower fragrance contains notes of gardenia, victoria amazonica and lily of the valley and is available in Eau de Cologne (£30 for 100ml or £39 for 300ml), Shower Gel (£14), Body Lotion (£20), and Hand Cream (£8). The Vitória Régia Night Flower range contains notes of water-hyacinth and lime at its heart with a hint of peony accompanied by musk and sandalwood and comes in Eau de Cologne (£30 for 100ml or £39 for 300ml) and Flower Soap (£5). Jenipapo is a line of suncare and fragranced products for the face and body, inspired by the protective and moisturising properties of the jenipapo fruit tree. The jenipapo flowers release a scent with green, floral, fruity notes including citrus, water melon and pina colada followed by lily of the valley and comes in Jenipapo Sun Care Protecting Body Oil SPF15 (£20), Lip Balm SPF25 (£9), Face Protection Veil SPF30 (£26), Body Jelly Milk SPF20 (£20), Jenipapo Bath & Body Perfumed Oil Roll-On (£14.50), Body Lotion (£20), and Shower Oil (£14).

Following the recent rebrand of Bodhi as Bodhi & Birch, the eco-luxury skincare brand announces the launch of Lime Blossom Protecting Hand Serum. This oil-based serum is designed to moisturise and soften dry hands while protecting skin. Lime Blossom Protecting Hand Serum forms part of the brand’s Artisan Series, an eight-piece collection of hand-blended anhydrous skincare created in small batches to ensure optimum performance from the pure botanical essences used. Key ingredients include olive squalane, a botanical lipid derived from olives to replenish skin, rose hip oil, rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins, highly moisturising plum kernel and safflower seed oils, along with vitamin E to nourish and rejuvenate hands. An antibacterial, antiseptic and antiviral blend of lime and green mandarin essential oils helps protect hands while keeping skin fresh and rejuvenated. Lime Blossom Protecting Hand Serum is priced at £22 available online from May 12.

KIKO Make Up Milano announces the launch of its False Lashes Concentrate line. Specifically designed to work with regular mascara to enhance, define and maximise the effect, each mascara is infused with carnauba wax to ensure lashes are soft and smooth. The line consists of seven mascaras priced at £7.20 each, where each mascara targets specific needs. KIKO Make Up Milano is available from KIKO stores and online.

EVE LOM announces the launch of its Daily Protection SPF 50 in June. This pro-active brightening, protective and anti-ageing formula is designed to be used alone or layered with EVE LOM skincare dependent on skin type, for everyday use. The product contains vitamins C and E to protect skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, as well as free radicals and daily environmental damage. The oil-free formula also reduces wrinkles, increases firmness, brightens, nourishes and firms skin. Daily Protection SPF 50 is priced at £70.

Natural beauty brand JASON Natural Care announces the launch of its first gluten free product range. The first comprehensive range to be certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Certificaiton Organization (GFCO), meets a strict gluten-free standard and are certified to contain less than 10 ppm (parts per million) and all are fragrance free.The JASON Gluten Free range consists of Gluten Free Daily Shampoo (£6.49), containing a blend of babassu oil and vitamin E to moisturise hair and rosemary and chamomile to calm the scalp; Gluten Free Daily Conditioner (£6.49), containing a blend of seed oils including jojoba, sunflower, macadamia, kukui nut to nourish each strand of hair from root to tip; Gluten Free Body Wash (£9.99), containing vitamin E, avocado oil and calendula extract; Gluten Free Hand Soap (£5.99) containing a blend of vitamin E, olive oil and aloe vera to hydrate and calm the skin; and Gluten Free Hand & Body Lotion (£7.99) made with a blend of avocado oil and aloe vera. Products coming later in the year include a Facial Cleanser, Scrub, Crème and Lotion.

uslu airlines has teamed up with Swedish fashion house Dagmar to create a nail polish duo. Produced in collaboration with Dagmar’s design director Kristina Capercaillie and uslu airlines founder Feride Uslu, DAG & MAR offers two nail polish colours inspired by Dagmar’s spring / summer 2014 collection. DAG is Dagmar’s signature green and MAR was inspired by a watermelon tone used in their latest collection. The nail polishes, which can be worn separately or together, were named after Daggett, USA (DAG) and La Chinita, Venezuela (MAR). DAG & MAR is available exclusively at NK department store in Sweden. Additionally, the brand has announced a collaboration with Berlin-based music-themed hotel Nhow. NAU is inspired by the hotel’s signature shade of bright pink and named after Napuka Island, French Polinesia. NAU is available exclusively at the front desk and mini bars in all rooms of Nhow in Berlin.

This month we have the launch of a new Solait After Sun range available exclusively at Superdrug. Formulated using aloe vera, a natural ingredient renowned for its cooling and soothing effect on the skin, the product range consists of Moisturising After Sun Lotion with Insect repellent (£4.99), Moisturising After Sun spray (£4.99), Tan Prolonger After Sun Lotion (£2.48), Moisturising After Sun Spray Mist (£6.99), After Sun Aloe Vera Gel (£4.49 for 200ml and £6.99 for 400ml), and After Sun Lotion (£3.99). The range is half price until July 29 at Superdrug.

May is the month that marks the launch of four new products from Scottish skincare brand ishga. The new products consist of Nourishing Face Oil (£60), a moisturising face oil containing essential fatty acids and anti-oxidants including geranium oil, jojoba, sweet almond oil and seaweed extract to rehydrate and tone the skin; Hebridean Sea Salt & Oil Scrub (£15), formulated using pure, natural, unrefined salt from the Hebridean Sea blended with jojoba oil, thistle oil and almond oil; Invigorating Body Oil (£35), made using Scottish seaweed which contains vitamins A, C and E to moisturise dry skin whilst stimulating, revitalising and aiding self-repair; and Invigorating Body Lotion (£35), containing a potent combination of anti-oxidants along with nutrients from locally-sourced Hebridean seaweed, shea butter and Hebridean natural spring water to nourish the skin.

Cosmetics brand BEAUTY UK announces the launch of its Tropical Nail Gift Set. The collection consists of six mini polishes featuring pastel hues and bright tones, each delivering intense colour and a high gloss finish. The Tropical Nail Gift Set is available from May 7 priced at £5.99 each available online and in Superdrug stores nationwide.

Natural beauty brand Melvita announces the launch of its Bio-Excellence Naturalift collection. This new anti-ageing range harnesses the powerful regenerating properties of organic buds and Melvita’s patented bud complex of beech, pine, blackcurrant and raspberry plant extracts to strengthen, firm and nourish the skin. The Bio-Excellence Naturalift collection consists of Youthful Eye Contour (£29.50), an eye cream enriched with plankton to help reduce dark circles, whilst rye, oat and hibiscus help fill out fine lines and wrinkles; Youthful Day Cream (£36), enriched with nourishing shea butter to leave skin feeling soft, firm and revitalised; Youthful Night Cream (£38), a rich cream containing shea butter and evening primrose oil designed to nourish, firm and moisturise throughout the night; Youthful Serum (£39), which contains a light gel / cream texture enriched with hyaluronic acid to soften, plump and refresh the face; and Youthful Extraordinary Water (£22) enriched with hyaluronic acid and organic glycerin as well as Melvita’s patented bud complex to prepare skin for the serum and face cream. The Melvita range is available online and at selected John Lewis stores, Wholefoods, BeautyMART at Harvey Nichols, and from September 2014.

This month marks the launch of Great Body from Baylis & Harding. This new body care collection consists of five products including Body Polish, Body Wash, Body Lotion, Body Firming Cream and Body Mist. The new range contains key vitamin ingredients and botanical extracts taken from British wildflower plants, which may be used as part of a daily skincare routine to brighten, condition, nourish, firm and refresh the skin. The Great Body Collection, designed to work on all skin types is available exclusively from Waitrose until the end of May and nationwide across chemists and supermarkets from June priced at £6 each.

This week marks the launch of new products at Tesco Beauty from Pro Formula Skincare. The new editions include Pro Formula Radiance Micellar Water (£3.99), a gentle cleanser for normal / combination skin that removes impurities from the skin, formulated with green tea and vitamin E complex. Pro Formula Hydrating Cleansing Oil (£4.99) is a lightweight, non-greasy oil that transforms into a milk to cleanse and hydrate dry / sensitive skin enriched with almond oil, oat extract and vitamin E. Both products are available exclusively at Tesco in store and online.

May 25 sees the launch of men’s hair styling brand Jack The Lad. Create by Hairbond, this new affordable British brand offers a range of men’s hair styling products using British formulations. There are four products in the range, which consists of Choc Shaper, a multi-purpose styling cream containing a chocolate fragrance; Matte Wax, designed to offer a firm hold; Texture Cream; and Shine Pomade.
